Communications Officer for Protection International in Bangkok,Thailand

 

50% internal communications (meeting translations, minutes, written & verbal reports)

50% external communication (meeting translations, audio-visual material, public information, i.e. website content, social media content, media statements, public reports).

Tasks:

  • Assist with English translations and with drafting reports in English;
  • Draft and edit briefs, articles, press-releases, web-entries and social media updates;
  • Prepare regular updates and share relevant information with PI’s Advocacy & Outreach Unit to update the relevant news and updates on Thailand for PI website and social media;
  • Communicate with external stakeholders for Human Rights Defenders protection according to the guidance and under the supervision of the PI representative

Media Officer for Save the Children in Athens, Greece

The migrant and refugee crisis in Greece has resulted in a humanitarian crisis affecting more than 50,000 people now stranded in the country, since Balkan borders shut in early March.

Effective media relations is critical for an effective and coordinated emergency response, raising awareness of issues faced by refugees and migrants, increasing community acceptance, raising money and advocating positive change for children and families affected by emergencies and those still at risk.

The Media Officer will lead on media relations with Greek media in Greece, and on social media, and Save the Children's online presence. The post-holder will work with the Save the Children International media, communications and programmes team and others as necessary to provide external audiences in Greece with excellent information and communications on Save the Children's humanitarian work. The Media Officer will also lead on the development of media products targeted at the Greek audience, and will track and monitor coverage of Save the Children in local media, while sharing with staff top news related to migrants and refugees in Greece.

We are currently seeking a Communications/Technical Writer for the USAID-funded Columbia Producers to Market Alliance (PMA) Activity. The purpose of the activity is to improve the competitiveness of rural producers to respond to new and expanding market opportunities. The initiatives designed under this activity are market-led and focus on meeting the expectations of end markets, to ensure sustainability and increased profitability for rural producers and other actors in the selected value chains. The PMA Activity will help facilitate business deals between producers and buyers to increase incomes of small farmers – including women heads of household and members of minority ethnic groups – in rural municipalities that are important to achieving a sustainable and inclusive peace in Columbia.
