Combating Poverty Porn Photographs

Hat tip to my friend Jen Hardy for sending me this old yet still relevant blog post from The Salt Collective about responsible use of photographs by NGOs. Nathan Roberts, the co-founder of the Daylight Center and School in Kenya writes:

We have a rule at Daylight. We assume that every child in the world is eventually going to be on Facebook, so we don't post any images that a child could later be embarrassed of. We call these images "Poor"-nography.

Simple rule. And a good one. What do you think?
