To define, implement, coordinate and supervise all operational communication activities according to MSF standards in the mission/ or during an emergency. The FCM aims at building MSF visibility, acceptance and leverage inside the mission country.The FCM promotes the visibility of the organization, improving awareness of its principles and work, reinforcing information on MSF activities among communities.

  • The FCM should have the capacity to identify key cross cutting issues across MSF operations which are relevant to communications and to advise on public positioning.

Communications Officer - GRAISEA for Oxfam in Quezon City, Philippines

GRAISEA is a flagship program that intends to achieve improved livelihoods for women and men small-scale producers in the agriculture sector in Asia through the development of more responsible and inclusive value chains. It is funded by the Swedish International Development Agency and jointly implemented with Oxfam Novib and Oxfam America. This regional, program works primarily in ASEAN countries: specifically Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam. The program also works in Pakistan.

  • Management of communications and publication products for WE-Care and GRAISEA

  • Identification of strategic external communications opportunities and supporting project staff to engage with these, including the use of social media and other new communication outlets

Regional Information Officer- Central African Republic for Catholic Relief Services in Nairobi, Kenya

The Nairobi-based Regional Information Officer (RIO) for the East Africa Regional Office (EARO) will implement a communications strategy that establishes CRS as an industry leader with key audiences in the U.S. and in the region. The RIO will capture and effectively disseminate success stories and other content that demonstrate the impact of our work, our expertise and thought leadership and amplify our messages.  

Storytelling

  • Ensure that the region's interests and perspectives are fully integrated in all agency communication projects.

  • Liaise with regional technical staff to ensure a broad understanding of the technical work and proper representation in media and content.

  • Travel throughout the region to gather information on CRS and partner programs and write compelling human interest-focused success stories, take photos and videos, and write content that can be used for marketing materials, private and institutional donor outreach (particularly USAID), crs.org, social media, direct mail pieces, e-newsletters and other platforms.

Marketing Materials:

  • Help manage the design and production of creative and compelling communication and marketing material --photos, video, fact sheets, brochures, etc. - for various audiences, including public and private donors, government, partners, media and others as needed.

  • Manage freelancers in the production of above marketing materials as needed.

Media Relations:

  • Under the supervision of the regional marketing manager and working with the HQ Communications team, program and senior management teams, develop media strategies as a tool to raise CRS' profile regionally and in the U.S. around priority issues and programs to establish CRS' as a leader in development.

  • Map the media landscape, identify media opportunities; develop and nurture relationships with US and international media; develop talking points; train spokespeople.

Video Editor/Production Specialist in San Juan, Puerto Rico for MercyCorps

Following Hurricane Maria, Mercy Corps is supporting relief and recovery efforts in Puerto Rico. We have a team in Puerto Rico that is working with local organizations to deliver humanitarian assistance and rebuild communities ravaged by the hurricane. Mercy Corps Puerto Rico is beginning a second phase focused on building Resilience Hubs within existing community centers, which will be equipped with solar energy and water filtration systems.

He/she brings the Google, Bacardi and Mercy Corps brand to life through dynamic storytelling to advance marketing goals of our target beneficiaries. The video editor/production specialist leads video production efforts from concept to delivery to produce videos that authentically tell the Puerto Rico story capturing natural reserves, beaches and other content to promote Puerto Rico as touristic destination, as well as showing  Mercy Corps story. The ideal candidate is comfortable editing a wide range of video-content, creating motion graphics to enhance content, and able to act as an independent videographer and shooter as needed
